Both my parents competed for Great Britain in Marathon Canoeing so I was introduced to the sport through them. I had always been involved in other sports (triathlons, cycling, football and hockey) but wanted a new challenge and decided to take up kayaking at 16. It has enabled me to travel the world and meet so many people as well as doing what I love and that is competing and staying fit and healthy. My inspiration is Jess ENNIS-HILL (GBR). I think the way in which she handled London 2012 was incredible The amount of pressure she had going into the Games was huge. I enjoy chocolate and Thai curries.
