Has been part of athletics for a long time and has inspired other athletes. Started as a sprinter and hurdler and heptathlete, then switched to pole vault only.

28 times Israel national champion (12 times 400mH, 7 times pole vault, 3 times 200m, 3 times 400m, twice heptathlon and once 100mH.

Emigrated from Moldovan SSR in 1991.
