Breaking the triple jump National Record at the Commonwealth Games and winning the silver medal in the triple jump at the 2013 Games Small States Europe
Rebecca started training in athletics at the age of nine, after being spotted by her current athletics jumps coach, Jivko Jetchev, during school visits.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) from the University of Malta and has an honours degree in management.
As well as training every day, Rebecca works full-time as a finance officer.
One of her memorable experiences during her athletics career was bearing the Maltese flag at the opening ceremony of the 2013 World University Games in Kazan.
For Rebecca, sport is simply a way of life and she can't imagine her life without it.
Her ambitions for the Baku 2015 European Games are to improve her own triple jump national record and be selected for the Maltese 4x100m relay team - aspiring to place in top-3 position again, since this will be part of the European Team Championships for the Third League.
