Diving with concussion at a novice event in Ireland, and winning a gold medal.
"Got started in diving when I was talent tested at my school, and because of my gymnastics background, I did well enough to be selected. After a few weeks of trialling, I decided to pursue the sport. My international debut was the Canada Cup (20th FINA diving Grand Prix in Canada). My preferred discipline is 3m springboard. I train Tuesday-Friday from 3:00pm-6:00pm, Saturdays from 9:00am-4:00pm and Sundays from 12:00pm-2:00pm. One of my superstitions is dancing during my event. Injuries include multiple fractures, torn calf muscles, ligament damage to ankles, back injury. Most proud of 3rd place at my second ever senior international Grand Prix in Italy. If I wasn't an athlete, I'd be doing normal teenager stuff. Favourite food is a BLT, bacon, little more bacon, topped off with bacon."
