Azerbaijan's reigning champion in rhythmic gymnastics, Marina started her sporting career at the age of four. She has been a member of the national team since 2012 and won her first gold in Hungary the same year. She has performed well in several stages of the World Cup and now ranks sixth in the world. As Azerbaijan's Athlete Ambassador of the European Games, she is hoping for good results in Baku this summer. Marina is also looking ahead to the 2015 world championships, where she can qualify for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. She loves all four apparatus - ball, ribbon, clubs and hoop - equally.
