Additional information / What would you like people to know about you?

Majlinda started judo at age 8. Her mother was also engaged in sport, as she practised karate in her early years. Majlinda is a hardworking athlete, she managed to twice win the world champion title (2013, 2014), and one time the European champion title. Her main goal will be a gold medal at the European Games Baku 2015 and a medal in the Olympic Games in Brazil 2016.

She was not allowed to represent Kosovo at the 2012 Olympic Games in London and instead chose to represent Albania, which most Albanians originating from Kosovo choose to represent.

On 27 August 2013, she gave Kosovo their first judo world title at the World championships. Then she successfully defended her title in 2014.

On 24 December, 2014, she was decorated by the President of Kosovo Atifete Jahjaga with the Presidential Medal of Merit.
