Switzerland's Neff claimed the women's title at the fourth BMC Racing Cup in Gränichen, with compatriot Kathrin Stirnemann coming third and Italian Eva Lechner finishing fourth in Switzerland.

Slovakian Janka Keseg Stevkova was victorious at the Asvö Austrian Grand Prix in Windhaag Bei Perg, ahead of Austria’s Lisa Mitterbauer.

Ukrainian Yana Belomoina won the XCO Samobor race in Croatia, with Slovenian Tina Perse coming fourth and Croatia’s Andrea Kirsic finishing sixth.

In the men's race in Samobor, Russian Sergji Rysenko finished second, while Slovenian Gregor Krajnc was fourth and Croatian Filip Turk came seventh.

The other Baku-bound rider to win an event was Spaniard Carlos Coloma Nicolas, who won the Spanish Open BTT XCO in Panticosa.
