Just a few centimetres stood between Sweden's Lisa Norden and the Olympic Triathlon title in London three years ago.

After a hard-fought battle, she and Switzerland's Nicola Spirig crossed the line with identical times. Only the photo-finish judges could determine that Spirig had won the gold medal, Norden the silver.

Now, in their first meeting since that near dead-heat in London, the Swede is out for revenge, her coach Fredrik Lundin revealed yesterday at the Bilgah Beach Triathlon venue.

"She would like to do that, of course," said Lundin as he inspected the tough swim section and technical cycle route that he believes will favour Norden.

"She is a strong swimmer right now and in good shape for the bike stage," he said. "Hopefully, she will be in the first pack on Saturday.

"She is a strong cyclist so she should be at the front. And then in the run, that is just at the end of the race so a lot of things can happen there."
