Azerbaijan Airlines is extremely proud to be joining the European Games journey as an Official Partner and will be carrying the Baku 2015 brand around the world. The partnership will see Baku 2015 feature on the airline’s in-flight movies and magazines to help increase awareness of the European Games with an international audience. The partnership also ensures the European Games will have a significant presence within Heydar Aliyev International Airport to welcome visitors arriving for next summer’s historic event. Azerbaijan Airlines is the national airline of the Republic of Azerbaijan and carries more than 1.7 million passengers per year, serving 38 cities around the world. In 2015 Azerbaijan Airlines is planning to increase its number of daily flights from European cities into Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku for the European Games.

Coca-Cola is proud to be part of the inaugural European Games; an event that will unite Europe in a celebration of sport and active lifestyle. The deal will see the Baku 2015 brand exclusively displayed on the Company’s product labels throughout Azerbaijan. Coca-Cola will also release limited edition product packaging dedicated exclusively to Baku 2015 and launch an integrated marketing campaign to help raise awareness of the Games. Coca-Cola has a long history of supporting the Olympic movement, having first sponsored the Olympic Games in Amsterdam in 1928, and every Games since. The Company has local operations in more than 200 countries around the world and opened its bottling plant in Azerbaijan in 1994. It provides employment directly and indirectly to more than 2,200 people across the country.

The recruitment and training of volunteers will be supported through in-store promotion, social media engagement and an official volunteer mobile application. Two official countdown clocks located on Baku Boulevard and at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport will help raise awareness of the event as the countdown to the Opening Ceremony continues.
